People of Sakti felt that they have been neglected by the BJP government for not giving their Councilor an executive seat. Gyal Phunchok Wangyal has been serving the constituency from 2005 and is one of the senior leaders of BJP. 

Phuntsog Rabgais villager said that the decision of hill council towards the EC declaration has compelled us to start this march. He said, “Gyal Phunchok Wangyal has won the election for three consecutive years, we the people of his constituency had a very big hope for him to get the EC.”

 

The questioned has been raised to the LAHDC, Leh for treating the senior leader differently?  He further added that during the tenure of Congress party in 2010, our Ex-Councilor Skarma Stanzin was given an EC after his first win but today BJP is neglecting the person who is winning for three consecutive years. 

People appealed the government to take concern of their demand.
