Administrative Secretary of Tourism and Culture inspects Sindhu Ghat ahead of 28th Sindhu Darshan Yatra
The Administrative Secretary of Tourism and Culture, UT Ladakh, Vikram Singh Malik, conducted an inspection of Sindhu Ghat in preparation for the upcoming 28th Sindhu Darshan Yatra on June 11. The purpose of the visit was to assess the venue and evaluate the preparations for this significant event.
Secretary Vikram Malik meticulously examined the infrastructure and amenities at Sindhu Ghat, ensuring that all necessary measures are in place to ensure the comfort and convenience of the pilgrims and visitors. He stressed the importance of upholding cleanliness and safety standards throughout the duration of the event.
During his inspection, the Secretary underscored the collaborative efforts of various departments in orchestrating the event and ensuring its success. He noted that the Sindhu Darshan Yatra holds immense cultural and spiritual significance, drawing participants from across the nation and beyond. Secretary Malik emphasized that the yatra epitomizes the rich cultural heritage and communal harmony of the region.
Secretary Vikram Malik engaged with officials and urged them to expedite any pending tasks. He instructed the concerned officers to install water dispensers for safe drinking water, prioritize hygiene and sanitation, and ensure timely publicity of the event. Additionally, he reviewed the condition of approach roads and logistical support to be provided during the yatra.
