ADDC Leh reviews progress on telecom connectivity in vibrant villages

The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Leh, Sonam Nurboo, reviewed the progress of telecom connectivity in Ladakh’s Vibrant Villages during a meeting held at the VC Room, DC Office, Leh.

BSNL officials presented a detailed progress report, covering various aspects such as tower foundation completion, tower erection, electrical works, TCS I&C completion, and activation (radiating on-air).

According to the report, tower foundations have been completed in 27 villages, and installation has been completed in 20 villages. Additionally, power infrastructure installation has been finalized at 10 sites. The officials assured that the remaining work is progressing steadily and is expected to be completed by next year.

Specific challenges in telecom connectivity to remote villages like Chumur and Thang were also discussed.

ADDC Sonam Nurboo reviewed the progress thoroughly and directed officials to expedite their efforts to ensure timely completion of the projects.

The meeting was attended by representatives from BSNL, Jio Telecom, and the Power Development Department (PDD).
