ADC Leh, Ghulam Mohd, chaired a District-Level Aadhaar Committee meeting on December 18 to review Aadhaar-related operations and address emerging issues. The meeting was held at the VC Room, DC Office, Leh.

Assistant Manager of UIDAI Ladakh, Taief Mir, presented the meeting's agenda, which included Aadhaar saturation, the functioning of Aadhaar centers, department-wise progress, updates on Mobile-Based Update (MBU) and document submissions, the state government portal for document verification, Aadhaar usage in various schemes, face authentication, and the monitoring of fraudulent activities.

Further, he informed about the active Aadhar Centers and its saturation status in Leh district. He mentioned that the Aadhar saturation for UT Ladakh under the age of 0-5 is 37.79%, for the age 5-18, it is 141.19% and for the age above 18, it is 83.87%. He also briefed about action taken report of all the departments. He also underscored the issues which arise due DoB certificates.

ADC Leh stressed on updating the existing number of population and instructed the officer to write a letter to do so. He also instructed the officer to identify operators in blocks where the system is not functional and make it functional. He also instructed all the Departments to improve the saturation of Aadhar. Discussion also took place on how to monitor fraudulent activities in Aadhaar cases.

The meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police Rigzin Sangdup JKPS, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer and other HoDs of various Departments and Banks. SDMs from various blocks joined the meeting through video conference.
