ADC Kargil reviews arrangements for Shab-e-Qadr and Jamiatul-Vida
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), LAHDC Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming religious occasions including Shab-e-Qadr, the commemoration of the Martyrdom Day of Hazrat Ali (21st Ramadan), related processions, and Jamiatul-Vida during a meeting with concerned officers and representatives of various religious organizations on March 7.
During the meeting, representatives of religious organisations requested the district administration to make necessary arrangements for the upcoming nightly prayer gatherings (Shab), processions, and Jamiatul-Vida congregations.
The ADC directed the concerned departments to ensure all essential arrangements including medical facilities, adequate water supply, uninterrupted electricity, and proper traffic management during the events. He also instructed religious institutions to arrange volunteers to coordinate with the administration so that the processions move smoothly along the designated routes within the scheduled time.
Representatives of IKMT requested the administration to vacate the parking area of Hussaini Park well in advance for the processions and also urged that public conveniences remain accessible during the events. Representatives of JUIAK requested proper cleanliness in the Inqalaab Manzil Complex and its surrounding areas and stressed that the schedule and arrangements should follow the practices adopted in previous years. It was also suggested to keep Khri Sultan Cho Sports Stadium, Byamthang available for parking during the events.
Various other issues related to the smooth conduct of the religious programmes were also discussed in detail.
The meeting was attended by the Additional SP Kargil, Deputy CMO, Executive Engineer PDD, Assistant Director FCS&CA, Tehsildar Kargil, Headquarters Assistant to the DC, Assistant Commissioner Food Safety, District Traffic Inspector, and representatives of IKMT, JUIAK, and other religious organisations.
