300 teachers attend 16-day training camp at DIET Teachers trained about child psychology and adolescent issues

The concluding function of 16-day training organized by DIET was attended by 300 teachers at DIET, Leh on 23, January.
Executive Councilor for Works Drojey Mutup presuded as the chief guest on the ocassion.
The teachers were trained in subjects like Maths, Science, Bhoti and English. Besides, mandatory subjects, Doctors of SNM Hospital also made the trainee teachers aware about child psychology and adolescent issues during the training course.
Dorjey Mutup said that every teacher must get trainings as per the requirement adding that it is the responsibly of the teachers to pass these trainings practically in their schools. Accepting and appreciating the changing trend of education in Leh district, he said that credit must go to the dedicated teachers who are taking our education towards new heights and stressed for further strengthening of this important sector.
Talking about the new transfer policy of teachers, EC Dorjey Mutup said that present council under the leadership of CEC Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo is fully committed to make forthcoming transfers in most transparent and accountable way and requested every teacher to accept the coming transfers gracefully. Responding to the problems and issues related with school textbooks in the district, he also assured that council will resolve this issue at the earliest.
A project report book developed by DIET Leh on the topic “Bottlenecks in the Girls Education in Leh District” was also released by chief guest on the occasion EC Dorjey Mutup.
Earlier, Konchok Angmo ,Principal DIET, Leh briefed about the functioning and activities of DIET, Leh and thanked the faculty members of DIET, Leh and local resource persons engaged during the training.
Dechen Tsomo, Dy CEO, Leh stressed on 100% implementation of training receive by teachers in schools and strengthening of language. ZEO, Leh Lobzang Rigzin said that until and unless benefits of such training goes to students, there is no use of such training. Gen Konchok Rinchen who was resource person for Boti Language urged upon the trainee teachers to give equal value and attention to Bhoti subject as other subjects.
Sharing their experiences, trainee teachers expressed their gratitude and thanks to DIET, Leh for organizing such beneficial training assuring that they will make best out of this training at their respective schools. However, they suggested further improvement in methodology, more time in content of Maths subject and training in handling and managing of Libratory.
