300 Bedded Hospital at Kurbathang gets 1000 LPM Pressure Swing Absorption oxygen plant
1000 LPM Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) oxygen plant under PM Cares Fund was inaugurated on October 7 at 300 Bedded Hospital Kurbathang.
The oxygen plant was inaugurateD by Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan in the virtual presence of the MP Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal.
Executive Engineer, Mechanical Division Kargil, Muhammad Hassan informed that the process of installation of the oxygen plant was carried out under the supervision of the Mechanical Department, and the plant will be operated and managed by the department itself.
Meanwhile, CEC, Feroz Khan, and DC Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve attended the virtual inauguration of 35 Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen plants by Prime Minister Narendra Modi across various states and UTs from AIIMS Rishikesh. Till now a total of 1,224 PSA oxygen plants have been funded under the PM Cares Fund across the country, out of which 1100 plants have been commissioned providing an output of over 1,750 MT oxygen per day.
The General Manager, National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) Chutak Power Project Lhenchup Lepchay, and other concerned officers also attended the live webcast.
It was informed that as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), NHPC Kargil will install two 500 LMP PSA oxygen plants, one each at District Hospital, Kargil, Kurbathang, and Community Health Centre (CHC) Sankoo. The total cost for the installation of two oxygen plants will be around ₹ 2 crores.
