3 students from University of Ladakh selected for Rajya Sabha Internship Programme
Three students of the University of Ladakh got selected for 2nd batch of the two-week Rajya Sabha Internship Programme (RSIP) starting on November 28.
Choskit Angmo, MA political science 1st semester, Leh campus; Diskit Palmo, B.Ed 1st semester, Leh campus; Mohd Hassanian, MA Political Science, 1st semester, Kargil campus are the selected students. Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Professor S. K Mehta congratulated the selected students and extended his best wishes for the successful completion of the reputed internship program.
Rajya Sabha Internship Programme is the brainchild of the Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar. The purpose of the internship programme is to familiarize students from a social science background with the various functions of the Parliament. All the internship-related expenses (air travel, accommodation, and food) are borne by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat.
Dean of Students Welfare, University of Ladakh, Dr. Jigmat Dachen said that this internship program is well known for providing a platform for talented students to gain valuable insights into parliamentary proceedings and public policy.
