Acting on the directions of the Additional District Magistrate, Kargil, a surprise market inspection was conducted on March 27 to check the misuse of domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purposes in various areas, including Baroo Market, Bema Thang, and the petrol pump area.

The inspection team was led by Naib Tehsildar, Kargil, Fida Mohd Hassanain Mir, and included Sub-Inspector, Police Station Baroo, Mohd Hussain; Tehsil Supply Officer, Mohammad Abass; and a representative from the Municipal Committee (MC) Kargil.

During the inspection, several tea stalls, hotels, and restaurants were found violating norms by using domestic LPG cylinders for commercial activities. A total of 11 domestic LPG cylinders were seized during the drive.

The market checking was conducted smoothly and concluded successfully.
