A total of 100 patients were examined while 35 cataract and 10 pterygium cases were operated on during a two-day eye surgery camp at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Sankoo on August 8 and 9.

The eye surgery camp was organized by the Block Medical Officer Sankoo and the Department of Ophthalmology CHC Sankoo in collaboration with Perfect Vision Super Speciality (Eye Hospital Srinagar).

The team was led by Dr. Omar Rashid, a renowned phaco and corneal surgeon from Perfect Vision Super Speciality. Key contributions were also made by Dr. Shahnawaz, a renowned ophthalmologist, and Dr. Munnawar Hussain Wazir, a senior consultant ophthalmologist at CHC Sankoo.

The camp’s success was further ensured by the dedicated support of ophthalmology assistants and OT assistants from CHC Sankoo.
