To pay tribute to the leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini on his 26th death anniversary on 4th June. The event was organized by Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman Sankoo in which thousands of people gathered including school students.

The programme commenced with recitation of holy verses from the Quran. Syed Mohammad Baqir, MLA Zanskar was the chief guest on the occasion.

The entire speaker threw light on the importance of observing this day and highlighted about the life and teachings of Imam Khmomeini (R.A.). Ullamas also spoke on different topic and paid tribute to Imam Khomeini (R.A). They also prayed for peace and harmony among all humans.

Prominent among speakers were Hujatul Islam Wal-muslimeen Aga Syed Ahmad Ex MLC, Hujatul Islam Wal-muslimeen Sheikh Sadiq Balagee, Hujatul Islam Wal-muslimee Aga Syed Jaffer Rizvi Lankerchey, Hujatul Islam Wal-muslimeen Aga Syed Muslim Lankerchey Hujatul Islam Wal-muslimee Aga Syed Abass, Councillor of Sankoo were also present on the occasion.
