Around 200 children and 80 staffs of SOS TCV school, Leh carried out a cleanliness drive themed, 'Thank you India' and 'Swachhta hi seva' at SNM Hospital on October 2, marking 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. 

Chemey Lhundup, Director SOS TCV, Leh said, “This event is to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti in a most practical way. Also, we take this opportunity to thank India, especially Ladakh for hosting and supporting Tibetans always". 

“Since last few years SOS is doing this campaign on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan but this year the theme is on ‘Swachhta hi seva’ to pledge and focus on limiting the use of single used plastic”, he added.

Dr. Tsering Sampel, Medical Superintendent, SNM Hospital, Leh thanked SOS team for the Labour donation and choosing SNM hospital for the drive on Gandhi Jayanti.
