For the first time in Ladakh, Mobile Science Exhibition (MSE) programme will be conducted to popularize science and technology and to promote science culture among the local students and the general public.
 
Mounted on a specially designed bus, the Mobile Science Exhibition will be flagged off by Prahlad Singh Patel, Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism on September 5 at Leh Palace. After which the exhibition will be held at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Leh.
 
Mobile Science Exhibition programme carries a number of interactive exhibits related to everyday science. The MSE or Museo-bus will travel from school to school in rural areas organising exhibitions throughout the year. Along with the exhibition, some other programs like Sky Observation Programme through a telescope, science film shows, science demonstration lectures etc will also be organised.
 
The MSE programme aims to create scientific awareness in the society, inculcating a spirit of inquiry among the young people, inspiring youngsters to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering and mathematics and supplementing formal education imparted in schools and colleges with non-formal science education.
