Govt. Middle School Skurbuchan celebrated Parent’s day

Govt. Middle School Skurbuchan celebrated its first Parent’s Day on 18 November. On the occasion Zonal Education Planning Officer Khaltsey Phunchok was the Chief Guest and Sarpanch Tashi Namgyal was the Guest of Honour. Punchok Angchok head of SSA, Goba Murup Dorjay, Principal Higher Secondary school Skurbuchan, staff of various departments, parents and villagers were also present at the occasion.
The programme began with lighting of flame by the chief guest and choslu by the children gathering blessings from God followed by traditional dance, junglu, bollywood dance, skit, rhymes, solo songs and poetry in Ladakhi by the students.
One of the staff thanked the Zonal Education officer Khalatse for his concern for the school and for deputing special teachers to teach maths and games to the students. The teacher highlighted the academic achievements of the school and appreciated student Padma Dolker of class 8th for getting first position and Konchok Rinchen for getting 2nd position in the board exams of class 8th at the cluster level.
Head of the school Rigzin Chondol presented the vote of thanks and assured that the teachers will do their best to improve the academic standard of the school.
The Chief Guest congratulated the staff, children and the villagers for successfully running the school. At the end of the function prizes were distributed to outstanding students.
