B2B meeting themed Ladakh:New Start, New Goals held in Leh
CEC, Hill Council, Leh, Tashi Gyalson inaugurated the B2B meeting themed,‘Ladakh: New Start, New Goals' on August 25 at Hotel Grand Dragon.
The event was organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Tourism Department UT Ladakh, in association with the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI).
Secretary Tourism, K Mehboob Ali Khan; Belgian Ambassador, Francois Delhaye; Finland Ambassador, Ritva Koukku-Ronde; High Commissioner Bangladesh; Mohd Imran Khan and Director Tourism, Kunzes Angmo were present.
CEC, Tashi Gyalson congratulated Tourism Department of UT Ladakh and extended his gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism for organising such event in Ladakh, especially in the tourism sector. He informed that the majority of the Ladakhi people are dependent on the tourism sector for their livelihood.
He further added that Ladakh could not perform better last year due to the Covid-19 crisis, but progress has been made this year. He expressed hope and shared that Ladakh would prosper in the coming days.
Later, the Belgian Ambassador, Francois Delhaye and Finland Ambassador, Ritva Koukku-Ronde, interacted with the Thiksay Rinpoche, Nawang Chamba Stanzin at the Sherap Skitsal Ling Library and Learning Centre at Thiksay. They also visited the Thiksay monastery.
