DC Kargil flags off team Ladakh for Khelo India Youth Games, honors Thangtha National medalists
DC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse flagged off team Ladakh for Khelo India Youth Games on January 23. He also extended felicitations to the National Medalists of Thangtha Ladakh for their remarkable achievements at the 29th Junior National Thangtha Championship.
The recognition ceremony took place at the DC Office Kargil, with the players being awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals. President of Thangtha Association Ladakh, Mudassir Wazir, and Coach Mohd Hassan graced the event with their presence.
DC Kargil praised the athletes for their exemplary performances and conveyed heartfelt wishes for their upcoming participation in the Khelo India Youth Games, scheduled to be hosted in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Underlining the immense potential for Ladakh's youth, particularly following the region's transition to a Union Territory, DC Kargil urged the players to seize the available opportunities by putting in dedicated efforts and rigorous practice.
Mudassir Wazir expressed gratitude to DC Kargil for the unwavering support and appealed for further assistance in expanding the association's outreach throughout every corner of the district. He emphasised the importance of ensuring that more talented youths benefit from such initiatives.
