Yom-e-Fateh: CEC Kargil commemorates bravery and sacrifice of army jawans

On the concluding day of Yom-e-Fateh, Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, paid tribute to the Army Jawans who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The event was graced by Deputy GOC Jai Deep Chandra, Brigadier Prateek Prashar (Commander, 121 Infantry Brigade), Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC Kargil Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, SSP Kargil Shree Ram R, district officers, Army officials, Veer Naris, and students from various schools.

CEC Kargil offered heartfelt tributes to the martyrs, saluting their bravery and selflessness. “Today, we remember the ultimate sacrifices of our heroes who defended our nation's sovereignty and integrity. Their courage and valor will forever be imprinted in our hearts,” he stated.

He further emphasized the importance of honoring the legacy of fallen heroes, ensuring their sacrifices remain a guiding light for building a resilient nation where every citizen can live with dignity and pride.

As a gesture of appreciation, Dr. Akhoon presented "Martyrs' Memorial Gifts" to the Veer Naris, honoring the sacrifices made by their late husband’s while serving at the borders.

The Yom-e-Fateh celebrations featured events, including a wreath-laying ceremony, a parade, and a cultural program, commemorating the martyrs' legacy.
