World Heritage Day celebrated at Middle School Dha

World Heritage Day was observed on 18th April, in Middle School Dha in which teachers and students from Government Middle School Sanith, Government Middle School Dha, Government Primary School Baldes and Government Primary School Lastang participated.
Dawa Tsering, Councilor Skurbuchan was the chief guest and Barkat Ali Lone SDM Khaltse was the Guest of Honor.
Welcoming all the guests, Head Master Tashi Namgial briefed about the importance of the day in general and preservation of heritage sites located in Aryan valley villages in particular.
The School children were in their traditional dresses and participated in heritage related quiz competition, folk song, dance competition and essay writing competition.
Government High School Biama got the 1st position in quiz competition, Government Middle School Sanith stood first in the folk dance competition and Government Middle School Dha won 1st rank in the essay competition.
All the guests and the students also joined in a heritage walk to see the monuments and sites of village Dha. A stall of the traditional kitchen was also displayed at the venue.
The senior most teacher of the school Sonam Palmo presented the vote of thanks.
At the end chief guest and the guest of honor distributed prizes among position holders and participants in the different competition.
Some other prominent guests included Tehsildar Khaltse, Naib Tehsildar Khaltse, Zonal resource Person Khaltse, Sarpanch Dartsik-Garkone, Dr. Sonam Paldan, Lundup from Jammu and Kashmir academy for Art and cultural Languages, Head Master High School Achinathang, Head Master Government, Middle School Hanuthang, Nambardar Dha- Biama, Sarpanch Dha-Biama, Phunchok Angchuk Incharge Director Doordarshan, Cluster Resource person Batalik, Tsewang Gyalson Lecturer Political Science Government, Higher Secondary School Skurbuchan, VEC Members and villagers were also present on the occasion.
