An awareness camp for a differently abled person to ensure 100 percent enrolment in electoral rolls and for increasing the voting rights was held on April 7 at PAGIR, Leh.

 

On the direction of Avny Lavasa, Deputy Commissioner, the camp was organised by (EC) of District Administration, Leh.

The Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) educated the differently abled person about the importance of their voting rights in the electoral process. 

AERO informed that Election Commission has already instructed all the election officers to focus on the person with a disability and ensure all facility to cast their valuable vote at the booth. 

Mohd Iqbal, President, PAGIR thanked the District Administration for organising the camp at their centre and requested to conduct such camp in future also.
