Tribute paid to martyr Constable Mohd Raza

Wreath laying ceremony was held on August 3 at District Police Lines Kargil to pay homage to the martyr constable Mohd Raza, No. 1461 of UTDRF Unit Kargil.

Mohd Raza sacrificed his life while conducting a rescue operation at Drass River near Kaksar bridge during an accident of a private vehicle on July 22 which had slipped into the gorge of river. He received a severe head and back injury during the rescue operation and was immediately shifted to District Hospital Kargil where doctors after examination referred him to SKIMS Srinagar (Soura) for further treatment. Mohd Raza succumbed to his injuries on August 2 at SKIMS Soura.

During the wreath-laying ceremony, Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC Kargil, Deputy Commissioner Kargil, SSP Kargil, and other District Police Officers/officials paid tribute to the martyr constable with guard of honour.
