The State Cabinet sanctioned revision of the salary and allowances of the councillors of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh and Kargil on April 24 in Jammu Secretariat.

The revised salary was sanctioned with effect from July 8, 2016, the date from which salary and allowances of the CEC & EC had earlier been revised by the Government.

 

Chhering Dorjay, Minister for Cooperatives and Ladakh Affairs expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister and other Cabinet colleagues who supported the enhancement of the salary of the councillors proposal moved by him from July 8, 2016.

The cabinet also approved the implementation of 7th Pay commission recommendations for state government employees and pensioners with effect from January 2016.
