Management of Chutak Power Station, NHPC Limited Kargil cautioned people not to go near the river on July 3 between 5 am to 4 pm as silt reservoir flushing at Chutak Barrage will be carried out.

The General Manager stated that the  water level in the river downstream of Chutak Barrage would rise above the existing levels due to the release of water. All the public residing nearby downstream of barrage have been intimated not to go near the riverside under any circumstances during the flushing period.

The General Manager further stated that Chutak Power Station, NHPC shall also be making public announcement in this regard. Also, there will be no power supply from Chutak Power Station during the period of flushing.
