New Chief Representative Officer (CRO) of Ladakh's Sonamling Settlement, Tashi Dhondup, met with Executive Councillor Tashi Namgyal Yakzee on February 3. During the meeting, Tashi Dhondup expressed his gratitude to the council for its comprehensive efforts towards the development of the Tibetan community in Ladakh.

He specifically acknowledged the council's support in providing various facilities and services, including the creation of a dedicated portfolio for Tibetan welfare. Key initiatives highlighted include the construction of assembly halls, community halls, and the provision of essential amenities such as roads, healthcare, and drinking water.

Tashi Dhondup requested that the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) continue its support in the future. In response, Executive Councillor Yakzee congratulated him on his appointment and assured him of the council’s ongoing assistance for a successful tenure.
