Haji Hanifa, Councillor Baroo, of Islamia School Kargil elected as the new Chief Executive Councillor/Chairman, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil on 13 April.

 

He got 15 votes out of 29 votes in the 30 member LAHDC Chairman election and became the 5th CEC/Chairman of LAHDC Kargil.

After electing as CEC/Chairman Chief Executive Officer of Hill Council of  Kargil S Prasanna Swami announced Haji Hanifa as CEC, after which he along with his team of councillors were taken to Islamia School Kargil in a grand procession.

At Islamia School Chowk he interacted with his supporters and told that it was due to the blessings of elders in Islamia School Kargil as well as their support and thanked the Councilors of NC for supporting him as Chief Executive Councillor.

He thanked Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for electing MLC Kargil Haji Anayat Ali as Chairman Legislative Council and also congratulated Haji Anayat Ali Chairman LC.

He assured the people that he will take all stake holders for the overall development of Kargil.

Earlier ex MP Ladakh and councillor Silmoo Haji Hassan Khan, Ex CEC and Councillor Soth Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan, Ex EC and Councillor Bhimbat Ghulam Rasool Nagvi and Sheikh Asgar Zakiri of Islamia School Kargil also interacted with the people.

Islamia School Kargil through a press release thanked the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti and Education Minister Nayeem Akhtar for electing Haji Anayat Ali as Chairman Legislative Council and congratulated Haji Anayat Ali Chairman LC and Haji Mohammad Hanifa Jan for electing.

Meanwhile, District President PDP Kargil Kacho Gulzar Hussain through his press Release thanked the Chief Minister J&K Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for nominating and electing MLC Kargil Haji Anayat Ali as Chairman Legislative Council.
