NCC convocation and career counselling session inspire future cadets at GDC Kargil

The 2nd convocation ceremony of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) at Government Degree College (GDC) Kargil was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride on April 26.

Alongside the convocation, a special counselling session was organized for upcoming +2 students from Kargil district, aimed at guiding and motivating them to join the NCC and pursue higher education.

Lieutenant Dr. Murtaza Ali, Associate NCC Officer submitted a memorandum requesting additional NCC vacancies for the college.
Colonel Sweer Seth, Commanding Officer of the 2nd Ladakh Battalion, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Professor Disket Angmo, Principal of GDC Kargil, was the Guest of Honour, and Lieutenant Colonel Singram Singh attended as the Special Guest.

The event witnessed active participation from 40 NCC cadets and 30 bridge course students. Colonel Seth addressed the gathering, highlighting the formation of the newly established NCC Battalion in Ladakh. He interacted with the students, encouraging them to join the NCC and emphasizing the invaluable opportunities, discipline, and leadership skills that NCC imparts.

The program concluded with the distribution of certificates. ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificates were awarded to deserving cadets in recognition of their dedication and achievements.
