NC, Leh, pays tribute to Sheikh Abdullah on his 112th birth anniversary

The National Conference party, Leh paid tribute to the party founder  Sheikh Abdullah on his 112th birth anniversary on December 5 at Diskit Tsal, Community Hall, Leh. 

Haji Riyaz Ahmad, NC Leader said, “Sheikh Abdullah was not just a leader of J&K but was the leader of the entire nation. He fought for the freedom of our nation and is one of the senior leaders. He ensured equal opportunities and development in Ladakh, Jammu, and Kashmir.”

He further added, “Ladakh Bodh Vihar in Delhi is another contribution by Sheikh Abdullah with the help of his Eminence Bakula Rinpoche. We all should never forget his great inputs towards our state.”

Baqir Chow, NC Executive Member described Sheikh Abdullah as a great leader who has worked for the equality in the society, the welfare of weaker sections and strengthening communal bonds.

Recalling the contribution of Sheikh Abdullah Phunchok Wangdan, Councillor, Lower Leh said, “He worked for the political empowerment of the people and laid the foundation for the state to progress and develop. We are honored to pay tribute to the late leader”. 

“We are very glad to inform that many have joined NC party and we welcome them," he added.

Tashi Phuntsog, Vice President, NC, Tsewang Dorjey, Youth President and Asgar Ali also spoke on the occasion.
