MP Ladakh seeks evacuation of Ladakhi pilgrims from Iran

New Delhi :

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, MP Ladakh met Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister for External Affairs in Delhi regarding the evacuation of stranded1200 passengers belonging from Kargil and Leh district of Ladakh in Iran.

The stranded passengers were all on pilgrim to Ziarat, Iran.
 
During the meeting with MP Ladakh, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar held a telephonic conversation with Lieutenant Governor of UT Ladakh and other concerns officials. The minister issued directions to plan safe and workable modalities to bring all the stranded pilgrims to India followed by proper health check up to avoid unwanted health situation.
 
Minister Jaishankar assured MP Ladakh to evacuate all the stranded people of Ladakh back to India safely at the earliest possible.
 
On behalf of the stranded pilgrims, MP Ladakh assured full cooperation during the screening or needed health check up wherever necessary.
