MP Haneefa Jan visits Nubra valley, discusses key issues
MP Ladakh, Mohmad Haneefa Jan, recently toured the villages of Partapur, Hunder, Diskit, Tirith, Sumoor, and Panamik in Nubra Valley. Additional Deputy Commissioner Leh Ghulam Mohamad, CEO Tsering Angchok, and heads of various departments from Nubra Subdivision were Accompanying him.
The MP received a warm welcome from Councillors Kunzang Lotus (Hunder), Rigzen Lundup (Tiger), and Tsering Sandup (Panamik), who expressed their gratitude for his first visit to Nubra Valley since being elected. They highlighted several pressing community issues, including challenges with power supply, the need to upgrade Primary Health Centers to Community Health Centers, the status of the Shatse Takna Bridge, and mobile connectivity concerns.
Haneefa Jan also visited community and religious sites, including the Diskit mosque and Samstangling Gonpa in Tegar, to assess local infrastructure and services.
During interactions with residents, he listened to their concerns and assured them of his commitment to address the issues raised. He expressed gratitude for the community’s trust and support.
