MoHFW team reviews Vibrant Village Programme in Leh

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Ghulam Mohd (JKAS), chaired a meeting with a team from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on June 8 at the VC Room, DC Office, to discuss the implementation of the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP) in various villages.

The objective of the meeting was to identify existing gaps, monitor the progress of various activities and schemes, and plan future steps in the sectors of ICDS, health, education, and livelihood.

Chief Planning Officer, Tsewang Gyalson, briefed the team about the various proposals submitted under VVP, the ongoing activities in the villages, and the focus areas of development.

Dr. GB Singh, MD, DND, MoHFW, GoI, based on his visit to the villages under the Vibrant Village Programme, highlighted various issues and proposed several initiatives for improvement. During their visits, the team interacted with stakeholders involved in the Vibrant Village Programme and identified gaps in these areas.

Officials present during the meeting included ASP Leh, Regzin Sangdup; Chief Planning Officer, Tsewang Gyalson; District Panchayat Officer, Junaid Amin; Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Dolma Choskit; CEO of the Education Department, Sonam Wangchuk, and other concerned officials.
