A day-long Medical cum awareness camp on Covid-19 was organised by Health & Medical Education Department, Leh on September 16 at Khaltse.

Sub-divisional Magistrate, Khaltse, Tanveer Ahmad; Incharge BMO, Dr. Fayaz; Sub-divisional level Officers/officials, Medical staff, and villagers were present.

Health & Medical Education Department explained the required precautions to be undertaken for COVID-19 and highlighted the early symptom of Coronavirus.   
They also performed a demo on how to wear medical masks and how to wash hands.

 SDM Khaltse made people aware of the COVID-19 and advised them to take precautions as per advisories issued by the Government, particularly because of the spike in positive cases in the district.

He further advised the people to wear masks, wash hands with soap, use hand sanitizers, and maintain social distance out of home as well as entering the office premises, besides interacting with staff.
