Lamdon Model Sr. Sec School Leh organizes oath taking ceremony

To encourage the overall development of the students, Lamdon Model Sr. Sec School Leh, organized a special ceremony in which new Captains and Prefects were selected who took an oath to perform their duties and maintain discipline in the school. Also, students who achieved a good academic performance were presented certificates in the premises of Lamdon Model School on 16 April.
The oath taking was presided over by Tsewang Paljor, President Managing Committee Lamdon Society followed by march past by both new as well as old leaders of the school.
Tsering Gyalpo, Additional SP Leh was the Chief Guest and Tsering Angmo, Councillor, Lama Lobzang Nyantak, Upper Leh Councillor, Konchok Angmo, Principal DIET, Tsewang Paljor, Spl. Officer for Culture was the distinguished guest present on the occasion.
Tsering Gyalpo, Additional SP Leh emphasized that today’s youth are the future of Ladakh and keeping this in mind every student should actively participate in co-curricular activities for their all round development and avoid indulging in illegal activities. “Lamdon School is one of the best reputed School in Ladakh and it is the responsibility of every student and member of Lamdon Society to keep the reputation of the school in future by following the teachers,”. He also said that Police Department will also extend all kinds of support to the school whenever needed.
Tsering Angmo, Councillor appreciated for organizing such a discipline and systematic oath ceremony. By developing skills, confidence and giving best educational facilities to the students by the Staff of Lamdon society, now it depends on the students how much they can perform to make the future bright and serve our Ladakh which would be example for others. She also stressed on giving moral education along with academic education.
Gen Nantak, Upper Councillor, Leh expressed that Lamdon school was established in 1973 with lots of struggle and hard work by the dedicated group of Ladakhi Youth for the welfare and to promote good educational atmosphere for the coming generation. He also added the importance of education in the modern competitive society which performs a basic role in every field. Without education, there is no value of human in the modern world, as well as the useful things, are based on technology which would be very difficult for an illiterate person to operate. He mainly stressed on International Language (English) which is spoken throughout the World.
At the end Ishey Tundup, Principal Lamdon Model Hr. Sec. School, Leh presented the vote of thanks.
