LAHDC Leh celebrates 78th Independence Day with patriotic zeal

The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, celebrated India's 78th Independence Day with fervor and national pride. The event featured the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag by the Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of LAHDC, Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, at the Council Secretariat.

In his Independence Day address, CEC Tashi Gyalson extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of Ladakh, emphasizing the significance of the day.

"Today, as we celebrate 78 years of India's independence, let us honor the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and renew our commitment to the values of liberty, unity, and progress. Their courage has paved the way for the India we cherish today. May we continue to strive towards building a brighter and more inclusive future for all," he remarked.

The ceremony was attended by Dy. Chairman Tsering Angchuk, Executive Councillor for Minority Affairs Ghulam Mehdi, Executive Councillor for Rural Development Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, Executive Councillor for Agriculture Stanzin Chosphel, Deputy Commissioner/CEO of LAHDC, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve, along with LAHDC Councillors and other dignitaries and officials.
