\r\nAn interactive session and talk by Geshes Konchok Wangdus, Director, CIBS was also organised on the same day.\r\n

\r\n
\r\nThe aim of this initiative is to impart moral education to the students to lead an ethical and happy life in order to become a better human being striving for a better world.\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\nTalking about the need of moral education in today’s time, Geshes Konchok Wangdus said, “We are facing a crisis of moral values in human beings. The ranks and position in academics are given so much of importance that the real essence of education, the moral values and principles are sidelined. In today’s world one pursues education with an aim to get a better job and good salary which has created a competition in an unhealthy way, thus the inner peace and happiness are left out. For development, competition is necessary but in a healthy way without negative acts and thoughts.”\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\nHe stressed upon the students to understand why and for whom they are pursuing education which will help in acting and learn positively in a real way. When one finds out the real meaning of learning, maximum of the problems faced because of human activities will be solved.  The problems we face such as global warming, lack of drinking water etc. are all because of our lack of thinking, responsibility, and concern.  Such problems can be avoided if we develop our thinking because positive acts always come after right thoughts.\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n“Lack of moral education can be one among the reasons for the growing anti social activities. Also, many of the parents prefer to send their students to the boarding schools with all kinds of facilities at a very young age. Thus, the child misses the opportunity to learn the moral values and ethics from the parents which are very important to shape a child”, he added.\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\nEmphasizing more on the practice of love and compassion, Geshes Konchok Wangdus said that a man who practices the two things will have positive nature towards everyone. The person will never think or harm anyone for anything. He said that the real meaning of life is to be happy and the inner peace and happiness derives only from positive thinking.\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\nTalking about the growing infrastructural development in Ladakh, he said, all these developments are necessary but along with all these, there is an immense need for developing the inner values to promote peace and harmonious society.\r\n

\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
