Kavita Singh holds Bridge Pose for over 22 minutes at MIMC, aiming for Guinness World Record

Kavita Singh, 47, achieved remarkable feat at the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) in Leh, UT of Ladakh, by holding the Bridge Pose (Yoga) for 22 minutes and 27.44 seconds in one continuous stretch on November 1, 2024.

This attempt not only aims to set a Guinness World Record but also seeks to promote the benefits of yoga, which is one of India’s greatest gifts to the world. It emphasizes the importance of yoga in maintaining mental and physical well-being.

The event was attended by venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, along with numerous renowned yoga experts from both MIMC and the armed forces. All guidelines set forth by Guinness World Records were meticulously adhered to, ensuring compliance throughout the attempt.

Kavita Singh, a qualified yoga instructor, previously organised the International Yoga Day 2024 at Pangong Tso under the auspices of MIMC. She has also performed 108 sun salutations (Surya Namaskar) at Khardungla Pass and Umling La Pass, which stands at an impressive altitude of 19,024 feet and 0.73 inches.
