Kargil observes birth anniversary of Hazrat Imam Ali
The birth anniversary of Ali ibn Abu Talib or Imam Hazrat Ali was observed on January 25 in Kargil.
Shia Muslims consider Imam Ali as the first Imam and the birth anniversary is observed every year on the 13th day of Rajab, the seventh month according to the Islamic calendar.
The day was organised by Jamiat Ulama Isna Ashriya Kargil & Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust Kargil. Thousand of people from different villages of Kargil attended.
Mosques and Imam Bargha are decked up and decorated with bright lights.
While addressing, religious clerics stress unity among Muslims and the adherence to the teachings of Hazrat-e-Imam Ali (A.S).
On this significant day, Muslims worldwide recommit themselves to the principles exemplified by Imam Ali (AS), focusing on the ethics of care, compassion, generosity, integrity, tolerance, forgiveness, brotherhood, and service to others.
Imam Ali (AS), with his wisdom and foresight, thwarted all conspiracies against the Muslim Ummah, setting forth exemplary precedents for the faithful to lead honorable lives.
The celebration of the birth anniversary of Hazrat-e-Imam Ali (A.S) was observed at various locations, including Drass, Shargole, Chiktan, Anjuman-E-Sahib Zaman, Markaz-E-Tabligah Imam Reza Sankoo, Taisuru, Barsoo, GMPore, and Panikhar.
The event concluded with prayers for peace and security in the Islamic world and India. Additionally, prayers were offered for timely snowfall, addressing the primary concern of the people of Ladakh.
