J&K police Leh organise civil action programme

CHOGLAMSAR :
District police Leh under J&K Police Civic Action programme organised ‘Traditional Archery Training and Traditional music and dance training’ for the children age between 10-15 years at district police line on 30 March.
The program begins with welcome and introductory speech by Padma Dorjey and Archery followed by Jabroo Dance.
The program was inaugurated by Tashi Phuntsog DySP DAR, DPL,Leh and other civil and police officer. He said, “the aim and objective of the training programme is to inculcate spirit of sportsmanship and promote traditional archery and folk dance and songs”.
Besides that he said that a cohesive and coordination between police and students in the society is also needed.
Sonam Lotus, Director Metrological Department J&K was the chief guest. During the speech he stated that students should also participate in co- curricular activities like Archery, local dance, songs and other sports activities so as to become all rounder and perfect citizens. He further stressed one should have big dreams in life and should strive hard to achieve that dream.”
Nawang Rinchen Baishu the winner of Bharat Jyoti Award in Archery and Dorjey Stakmo, renowned artist of Ladakh were imparting training to the participants.
The main motive behind the programme is to dig out the hidden talents of students. In the end, Sonam Angchok delivered the vote of thanks.
