HH Chetsang Rinpoche attends All-India Gandhian Constructive Workers conference

His Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche attended All India Gandhian Constructive Workers conference for peace, harmony, brotherhood, social justice, cleanliness, interfaith discourse and other social causes on November 25 at Gandhi Ashram, Kingsway Camp, New Delhi.

The event was organised by Harijan Sevak Sangh and Global Interfaith WASH Alliance.

M. Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President of India, inaugurated the two-day conference and spoke on non-violence, the main practice of the Mahatma Gandhi.

He said that all religion promotes and deliver the message of peace and harmony in the world. Peace and non-violence is the only approach to resolve the existing conflicts in the world.

Addressing the gathering, His Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche said, ‘I am extremely happy and honored to attend such a wonderful program. We all come from different cultural and religious backgrounds. However, we are all equal and share the same Buddha nature.”

His Holiness stressed the importance of education among the young generation. He mentioned that young generations play a very important role to bring peace and harmony to the world.

His Holiness also highlighted the need to protect the environment.

On November 27, His Holiness along with H.H. Swami Chidanand Saraswati, President, Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh and many other dignitaries met Ram Nath Kovind, President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

In the meeting, all the dignitaries shared their experience and proceedings from the conference and commitment towards a Swachh, Sundar and Swaasth Bharat for all.
