Health & Education the Priority Sectors of LAHDC Kargil: Haji Hanifa
During the visit he inspected the ongoing work on the Trauma Unit constructing udder Special Task Force at a cost of Rupees 2crore 54 Lakh, and directed the agency to hand over the hospital to Health Department within weeks so that people particularly passengers during accidents.
He also enquired about the health of Patients admitted in the Sub-District Hospital and inspected the performance of the works. CMO Kargil informed the CEC that the Hospital is performing best amongst the CHC despite Shortage of Staffs, for which he appreciated the staffs of the hospital.
Haji Hanifa assured them that Council will try to arrange doctors for the Hospital soon after the opening of Zojjila.
At Higher secondary School, Drass he inspected the ongoing work of the New School building which was constructed at a cost of Rupees 239 Lakhs and Examination Hall coming at a cost of Rupees 65 Lakhs.
At Higher Secondary School, Drass people blamed for using sub-standard material on which EC Works Ghulam Rassol Nagvi directed the concerned agency to use the standard material in the construction.
While interacting with the students at various schools CEC asked the students to work hard and study well and assured that the shortage of staff at various schools in far-flung areas will be covered soon. He said that Education and Health are the Priority Sectors of His Council and people should come forward for giving feedback of the performance of the priority sectors.
At Dak Banglow Drass, he also interacted with the Panch and Sarpanch during which he redressed the issue of the problem being faced by the farmers of Drass for obtaining KCC account. He directed SDM, Drass and Managers of JK and SBI Banks, Drass to address the issues on the priority basis.
