Keeping in view of the topographical difficulties of the Ladakh Region, Chairman J&K Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali, had a word with Minister for CA&PD Choudhary Zulfiqar Ali on 7 April about the need and importance of increasing the ration scale under NFSA.

Choudhary Zulfiqar assured him that a meeting will be called up with the concerned officers of his department and will come up with a revised and increased scale.

Later,  he also thanked Defence Minister Manohar Parikar and Indian Airforce for arranging of IL76 Air Service for Airlifting stranded passengers of Kargil.

A total of 610 stranded passengers of Kargil has been airlifted in which 260 passengers from Srinagar to Leh, 85 from Leh to Jammu and 255 from Jammu to Leh.
