Gyal P Wangyal visits villages of Sham region
On the second day of two-day tour to Shaam region, Gyal P. Wangyal, CEC Hill Council Leh along with Phuntsog Stanzin, EC Agriculture visited Skindiyang, Khaltsi, Nurla, Mangu, Gera, Ulley Tokpo and Alchi villages on November 28.
Gyal P Wangyal inspected Higher Secondary School Khaltse. He informed that from the next academic session the degree college of Khaltse will be made fully functional. He assured to facilitate all kinds of infrastructure facilities including complete faculty members in the college.
Also, he resolved all the minor issues on the spot at every villages and assured to consider major demands in upcoming UT Ladakh budget.
Phuntsog Stanzin apprised people about the policy of Hill Council Leh in converting Leh district into an organic region under Mission Organic Development Initiative (MODI). He said that the farmers of Shaam region will get immense benefit from Agriculture and Horticulture sectors. He urged them to keenly participate in achieving the mission.
Lobzang Sherap Councillor Khaltse gave a detail account of all major/minor projects and demands fulfilled by the present Council. He informed about future proposals for inclusive development of all the villages in Khaltse constituency.
People of Nurla demanded to include Nurla village in Temisgam Constituency.
Sarpanch and representatives of Tar and Hipti villages demanded for creation of separate Panchyat Halqa for Tar and Hipti villages. At Skindiyang, people demanded for completion of Lamayuru road and strengthening of communication facilities and the youths of Khaltse demanded construction of Ice Hockey Rink and expansion of community hall.
