Gyal P Wangyal, CEC LAHDC, Leh along with Mumtaz Hussain, EC Minority Affairs inspected the ongoing construction work of Choglamsar – Chuchot bridge over Indus River on December 4. 

Superintending Engineer, PWD, Leh informed that trucks loaded with bridge components will reach Leh with the opening of Srinagar –Leh national highway. He assured to make the bridge ready for pedestrians at the earliest. 

Gyal P Wangyal directed to ensure speedy restoration of army cable suspension bridge at the same location with the support of the army so that commuters could not face any difficulties crossing the Indus river.

BDC Chairman Chuchot Block Saira Bano, Executive Engineer Construction Division Leh, AEE and other concerned field staff were present at the site.
