FCS&CA Ladakh Director assesses LPG services in Kargil, orders improved delivery and online booking system

Tahir Hussain, Director of the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department (FCS&CA), UT-Ladakh, conducted a review of LPG cylinder distribution in Kargil district during a meeting with representatives and distributors from IOCL and HPCL Kargil on August 21.

The meeting was also attended by Khanzada Mohd Usman, Assistant Director of FCS&CA Kargil, along with the AO & AAO to the Director of FCS&CA UT-Ladakh, and other concerned officials.

Distributors provided an update on the status of LPG cylinder distribution, pricing, and home delivery services within the district.

The Director emphasized the need to strengthen and streamline the home delivery service, in line with government directives, to better serve consumers. He instructed the distributors to release monthly home delivery schedules in advance and directed the AD, FCS&CA Kargil, to ensure wide publicity of these schedules to keep consumers well-informed.

Highlighting the importance of online booking, Tahir Hussain urged distributors to explore the phased introduction of this service using the Dealer Authentication Code (DAC), starting with Kargil town.

To ensure consumer protection, the Director also instructed distributors to strictly adhere to government-regulated LPG cylinder rates.

The LPG distributors assured the Director of their full cooperation in enhancing home delivery services and maintaining compliance with government pricing.
