To review the progress of ongoing developmental works in Nyoma sub-division, Gyal P Wangyal EC convened a meeting with councillors and sub-divisional officers of Nyoma Sub-Division on May 9 in Leh.

Gyal P Wangyal went over the plans under his portfolio like Health, Youth Services and Sports, Industries, Forest, ICDS, Power and Park, and Garden.

Talking to the health authorities, he asked them to provide quality healthcare facilities to the people and to provide free medicine to the BPL families. He asked the concerned officers to expedite the formulation and submission of detail project report for further upgradation, renovation and beautification of the hospital.

He further informed about the request made to State Health Minister to bring the PHC Nyoma at par with Sub District Hospital, Diskit. The minister assured far all possible help in this regard.

Stressing on an equal importance for upgradation of sports infrastructure in the schools, he directed new playgrounds to promote sports and making the younger generation physically and mentally fit. He asked the concerned officers to prepare DPR under Khelo India so that modern line infrastructure facilities could be provided to the Nyoma Sub-Division people.

The Forest department was directed for plantation in the open spaces by involving local people for beautification and healthy environment.

He directed the officers to facilitate people with ICDS schemes and asked PDD to ensure adequate power supply through G. Set and solar power plant.
