Executive Councillor, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee visited PHC Tangtse and reviewed the current situation and preparations for Covid-19 in the region on May 12. 
 
It was informed that Tourism Rest House which has been converted into COVID Care Centre at Tangtse is fully equipped with 9 beds where 3 beds are with Oxygen Concentrators and 3 beds with Oxygen Cylinders. 
 
Dr Jigmet Wangchuk, the newly appointed BMO Tangste informed EC Yakzee that a screening point has been set up at the hospital entry point to avoid entry of any suspected Covid patient inside the hospital. He added that Flu OPD (For Suspected Covid case) and RAT, as well as RT-PCR sampling sections, have also been set up at PHC Tangtse. 

He further informed that a CBNAAT Laboratory is under setup at Tangtse and will be soon functional for Covid sample testing in the region.
 
EC Tashi Yakzee was accompanied by SDM Durbuk, Nodal officers and Sarpanches of Tangtse, Durbuk and Shachukul.
