The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Leh hosted the District Level Science and Maths Quiz Competition at Paras Hall, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Leh, on October 24.

Teams that secured first place in the Zonal Level Quiz Competition qualified for this prestigious event, with one team from each zone participating in both Junior and Senior categories. A total of six teams competed at each level.

Chief Education Officer Leh, Sonam Wangchuk, was the chief guest and commended the participants for their enthusiasm and competitive spirit.

In the Senior Level competition, Government Higher Secondary School Chuchot took first place, earning a cash prize of ₹15,000. Government Higher Secondary School Diskit and Government Higher Secondary School Skurbuchan secured second and third places, winning ₹10,000 and ₹7,000, respectively. In the Junior Level, KGBV Nyoma claimed first place with a cash prize of ₹15,000, while Government Middle School Taknak and Government Middle School Shachhukul took second and third places, winning ₹10,000 and ₹7,000, respectively.

Sonam Wangchuk distributed prizes and certificates to the winning teams, congratulating them on their achievements. He also extended his congratulations to all participants for their efforts in delivering a closely contested competition.

Principal DIET Leh, Deldan Angmo, expressed gratitude to the participants, escorting teachers, distinguished guests, and the Chief Guest for their valuable time and encouragement.
