DC Leh reviews progress of cooperative initiatives at District Cooperative Development Committee meeting
Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve, chaired a meeting of the District Cooperative Development Committee (DCDC) on November 25 at the VC Room, DC Office, Leh, to review the progress of various cooperative initiatives.
Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, Dr. Mohd Abass, delivered a detailed presentation, highlighting the progress made under the committee's initiatives. He informed attendees that, 5 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACs) have been sanctioned, and 10 PACs are identified for computerization.A total of 125 cooperative societies have updated their data on the National Cooperative Database and 9 new PAC applications were submitted for registration; 1 PAC has been registered, while 6 are under process. 10 PACs applied for Jan Aushadhi Kendras, with 2 PACs receiving approval.
Updates were also shared on the status of key initiatives, including PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras, Rural Piped Water Supply, memberships under the National Cooperative Export Society, National Cooperative Organic Society, and Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti.
Deputy Commissioner Leh reviewed the progress of all ongoing initiatives and emphasized the importance of expediting work to ensure timely implementation.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Sonam Nurboo, Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Dr. Mohd Abass, District Development Manager NABARD Tsewang Dorjey, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, AD Information, and other officers and officials.
