DC Kargil leads oath-taking ceremony on National Constitution Day
Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, presided over the oath-taking ceremony and read out the Preamble of the Constitution in observance of National Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) in Kargil on November 26.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Abdul Hadi, ASP Mujeeb Ur Rehman, CMO Kargil Dr. Liyaqat Ali Khan, ACD Raziya Khatoon, ACR/District Social Welfare Officer Abdul Majeed Tantray, CDPO Sankoo Agha Jamal, and other district officers at the District Headquarters, Kargil.
Constitution Day marks the adoption of the Constitution of India by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949, which came into effect on January 26, 1950.
DC Kargil emphasized the importance of upholding the values enshrined in the Constitution, urging all officers and officials to maintain a sense of brotherhood and work towards achieving social, economic, and political justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed that National Constitution Day is an occasion to connect with the spirit of the Constitution and to better understand the rights and duties of citizens.
District officers reaffirmed their commitment to the Constitution, pledging to uphold India’s identity as a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, and Democratic Republic.
