A review meeting for the arrangements of Child screening camp under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) in Batalik area was convened on May 8 in Kargil.

The camp will be organised by the Health Department, Kargil under National Health Mission (NHM). Free screening and treatment facilities to the children up to 18 years for defects at birth, deficiency-related diseases, developmental delays, and disabilities will be provided.

Dr. Ibrahim Khan, Chief Medical Officer, Kargil informed that the camp is scheduled on May 15 and will screen around 800 children from 0-18 years of Batalik area at Government Higher Secondary School, Silmoo.

Vikas Kundal, DC directed all concerned officers to gear up for necessary preparations well in time. He directed CMO to deploy a team in advance to ensure timely arrangements and to conduct the camp systematically so as to avoid any kind of disturbance or rush.

 

Issues like deployment of magistrates and police personnel, cleanliness of the venue and adjoining places, drinking water facilities, transport facilities for children to be screened and other related issues were also discussed.

Concerned officers were directed to make necessary arrangements accordingly.

He also took stock of the shifting of EVM warehouse and EVM Strong Room of District Kargil.
