People of Changthang hosted a grand lunch party in honor of T. Gyalpo KPS, SSP on 3 April at Nyoma. 

SSP Gyalpo was welcomed with gand reception by all the villagers and village Nambardars from Liktsey to Korzok of Nyoma Block in admiration of Tsering Gyalpo, Senior Superintendent of Police, District Leh for being promoted as SSP and taking the charge of SSP Leh. 

Tsering Gyalpo expressed his gratitude for organizing and hosting lunch party and colorful cultural programs. Focussing on the poor status of the education in Changthang as compared to the other places of Ladakh, he urged everyone to focus more on education.  He also advised people not to fall prey to the people who targets remote areas like Changthang to sell stolen vehicles at low prices.  He also assured to provide all possible support and help by District Police Leh.

He further added that there should be complete cordial and friendly relationship between police and public. 

Dorjey Mutup stated that T.Gyalpo has been recognized and promoted to such high rank because of his sincerity and outstanding work. Stating it as an exemplary for the younger generation he urged the all the Govt. servants to work dedicatedly and bring change in the society. 

A colorful traditional cultural program was also presented.

Phunchok Dorjey, Nambardar Nyoma, expressed happiness and proud moment for the people of Changthang. 

Nambardar Mudh, Sherab Angdu, Nambardar Kuyul , Urgyan Rangdol, Retired SP Phunchok Sonam and SDM Nyoma sub -division also spoke on the occasion.
