CEC Kargil takes stock of snow clearance work on Kargil -Padum road

Feroz Ahmad Khan, CEC, LAHDC, Kargil along with Aga Syed Abbass Razvi, EC Works took stock of the ongoing snow clearance works on Kargil-Padum road on November 25.
The concerned officers informed that the highway is expected to be opened for vehicular movement within two days subject to the fair weather. The road clearance work is undergoing from both the end of Penzila. Also, the road has been cleared up to Rongo Parkachik, from Kargil side and expected to reach Rangdum next day. While on the Zanskar side the clearance has reached Akshow and continuing towards Penzila Pass.
Feroz Khan appreciated the strenuous efforts of the engineers, technicians, and laborers involved in the snow clearance operations. He urged them to further fasten the pace of the work so that the highway is restored for traffic as early as possible.
Haji Ghulam Muhammad, Councilor Parkachik; Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani, SDM Sankoo; Executive Engineers of Mechanical and Suru Valley divisions, Tehsildar Tai Suru, SHO Panikhar besides other concerned officers were present.
